Friday night-
Went out to dinner to Fridays-we decided on nothing fancy and Jon(the hubby) wanted to try some sausage penne thing for $6.00 that he saw on t.v. I got the sizzling chicken and shrimp and also 2 ultimate Margaritas (what!? we were there a while..)..Jon had beer!! I was siked because the waiter surprised me and said I got to take 2 of the ultimate glasses home for free!! Yey!! I love free stuff!! On our way home we passed by Barnes and Noble and I saw a book from Jonathan Adler in the window!! I decided I loved the cover and I had to have it!!

Great book by the way!!
Saturday--
Our computer was sick so we decided to bring it to see the computer docs at Geek Squad (it is still there :-(.. I miss it...) I bought new headphones for my ipod :) bubblegum pink ones!! A little bit later we met up with some friends at their liquor store that they always go to and decided to do a Tommy Bahama rum tasting!! they made mojitos and they were yummy..so I bought the rum and the mojito mix!! We then went to 5 burros (it is a little Mexican restaurant in Forest Hills) Jon got Chicken Nachos, Sara got Chicken fajitas, Adrian got Enchiladas Verdes and I got some cheese quesadilas.. We ate, had a few drinks, a few laughs.. a few deep discussions about 80's cartoons..!! ha :)
Sunday-
For lunch we grabbed a slice at Dani's pizza down the street!! They have the yummiest pizza!! I got a pesto slice!! Yum yum yum!! Jon got 2 cheese slices. We met this Queens native at Dani's with his daughter who was giving us pointers and more info about our neighborhood!! Nice guy. Next.. we saw a movie..at Kew Garden's cinemas--Take Out.. Great Movie!! It is an independent film about Chinese immigrants trying to live the American dream..they worked in a Chinese restaurant.. making deliveries.. It was really interesting and moving!! The co-director was there after the movie ended to answer some questions we might have had.. so that was an extra treat!! :-)

Later.. went home and vegged!!

Yay! I loved joining you on your weekend adventures...happy you could come along on mine too!
thanks for sharing your weekend adventures with us!
I haven't been to 5 Burros in years. Is Austin Street still nuts parking-wise? We gave up going there cause we could never find a spot and the parking lot was crazy expensive.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
;)
It's definately still crazy busy around there.. I'm not sure how the parking is now.. we live close enough to walk or we take the train a stop down.. ha .. I don't think we would go there either if we had to drive... It's a great place though :)
